Located in Le Pas de Calais, not very far from the biggest and nicest beaches in La Côte d'Opale, the Chalet sur la Dune welcomes you in the very heart of the Nature Reserve (and bird sanctuary) of Le Platier D'Oye.
Wether you are with your family, with friends or relatives, you will benefit from an outstanding view on the sand dunes and the North sea.
The 45 m2 surface area of the chalet will enable you to spend a true and relaxing moment and live in harmony with nature.
A COZY NEST... FOR 4 PEOPLE
The bright living room with its large panoramic windows will give you a sense of total immersion in nature. You will be able to rest on the sofa and read books and others documentations about the local fauna and flora... while observing with our binocu- lars the large variety of birds of the nature reserve of the Platier d’Oye!
Our fully-equipped kitchen will allow you to cook while watching the sea
Two cozy bedrooms will welcome your dreams rocked by the sound of the sea : one double room equipped with a bed 140X190, one simple bedroom equipped with two beds 70X190. All of our beds include duvets and pillows, and mattress and pillow protectors.
Bathroom with washbasin and shower, separate toilet.
Small utility room with washing drying machine (+ washing liquid, softener, ...), and shelves to sort your supplies.
During the summer you will be able to lounge around our 30 sq m2 hanging terrace, while looking at our beautiful Côte d’Opale or have a barbecue in our 900 sq m2 garden situated in the maritime public domain while your children can play safely with the many outdoor games left at their disposal in the garage.
AN ECO-FRIENDLY CHALET
Le Chalet sur la Dune has been sustainably renovated in 2013 :
a 30 sq.m hanging terrace made of local green oak (Guînes),
interior & exterior eco paints,
french larch cladding.
On site ecofriendly products are at your disposal (grocery, cleaning products, ...). We installed a pellets stove in order to create, especially during the winter, a cosy and ecofriendly heat
We want to develop a sustainable tourism of which you will be the main actors (sorting your waste, using natural products, ma- naging your water and energy consumption, ...)
Our catering service offers meals prepared with seasonal & local products (mainly organic) ; the breakfast basket is 100% orga- nic and «home made»... Deasable option : packing the fridge with local and organic products.
NATURAL RESERVE OF PLATIER D'OYE
Down the garden! Created in 1987, the Nature Reserve of Platier d’Oye is a totally preserved nature space that allows plants and animals to breed in peace.
With its wood pathes and its many observatories, the Nature reserve of Platier d’Oye offers you an immersion 100% nature for adults and children.
A private visit starting from Le Chalet sur la Dune accompanied by our guide Anny (2/3 hours).
Visit of the bird observatory, discover the shell collections of the “Maison dans la Dune”, walk part of the “GR 120” trail (wildlife and nature watching).
Rates: €15 (to pay directly to Guides Nature du Platier d’Oye).
Horses lovers, novice to advanced, ride on one of the longest beaches of La Côte d’Opale. You will find the listings of clubs here near Chalet sur la Dune, on Opale News, information portal website (specialized for leasure and tourism).

The Port Museum of Dunkerque opens its doors to the visitor curious to discover the historical and contemporary port universe. In a sculptures, water, stones and wind garden, designed by the landscape architect Gilbert Samel, the LAAC (Modern Art Mu- seum) with its astonishing white ceramic architecture is situated close to Dunkerque beach and port.
